It is easy to find, the list of nations ranked by corruption. Finland and Sweden are near the top. Ukraine is in the bottom third. Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Canada, and the Netherlands–countries I would like to visit again and for a while–are near the top.
It requires study to know how it is calculated and weighted. There may be bias or longstanding reasons why former Soviet Union and African countries are behind.
Corruption is very evident to me in Jefferson County Colorado and the place I call home is better than most places. Why doesn’t the ACLU establish an office here? The answer is, because it is just too common.
